Simone is a nutritionist living in the heart of Eindhoven, the fifth biggest city of the Netherlands, and an ambassador for #VerivalBreakfastDay on September 3rd.
While usually posting recipes and culinary stories on her blog food foodquotes.nl this time she shares her 3 favorite breakfast spots with Verival’s community. Even though theoretically possible, the fact that Eindhoven is also called “City of Light” is not so much related to them than to the electronic brand Philips, which was founded here and made Eindhoven the capital of Dutch Design. Today it’s the tasty creations served in the old factory buildings that make breakfast fans beam with happiness.
The Blue Collar Hotel in Eindhoven is the spot if you like a perfect mix between nostalgia and rock & roll. The hotel has an unique and own atmosphere en is located in an old Philips factory on Strijp-S. Besides staying overnight you can enjoy a great breakfast/lunch/dinner and on a regular base they host concerts. The breakfast buffet is served in the Starlight Lounge, which is located on the top floor. As you can imagine; you will have a great view on the skyline of Eindhoven from this spot. This hotel breaths Eindhoven because of the view and location. Therefore it’s also a hotspot for a lot of inhabitants from Eindhoven.

As you can expect by hearing the name; you are welcome the entire day to enjoy bagels and juices. Besides that they also serve a wide variety of coffees; warm or cold. This restaurant is also located in an old Philips factory and some of the old element scan still be seen in the interior. Picked a sunny day to visit Bagel & Juice? Make sure you have your drink/food on the terrace! It will definitely feel tropical with the palms, blue sky and bright coloured tables.

If you’re a huge fan of pure ingredients and you’re looking for a delicious and healthy meal; The Happiness Café is the spot for you! For breakfast they have several options like oatmeal, speltbread, yoghurt and smoothiebowls. You only have to pick your favourite. Off course you can have a smoothie, juice, coffee or tea on the side.
