Today we would like to show you three different layered breakfast variations in a glass with three of our VERIVAL granolas. These breakfast ideas are ideal for a snugly weekend breakfast. Moreover, the layered breakfast can be easily prepared on the previous day if guests come by or as a breakfast to go.

Especially at the weekends you just want to enjoy the time and have a nice breakfast. A good weekend breakfast is one which is lovingly prepared and served and can be enjoyed with our loved ones or in nature on a picnic blanket or on a neatly decorated table. One or two cups of coffee, fresh fruits and juices and a tasty layered breakfast with granola in a glass – that is all you need for a great start into the weekend.

The layered breakfast creations are not only tasty, but also look great! If you have guest that come by at the weekend, you can easily prepare the layered breakfast on the previous day in order to start into your day stress-free. The three layered breakfast creations can be prepared with little effort and will make your guest marvel at your creations.

Our three layered breakfast recipes offer something for everyone. The first recipe is very suitable for the colder days and the autumn season as the bottom layer is warm and refined with cinnamon. A warm breakfast has many benefits, even in summer, as you may already know. The second variation is an absolute classic and can be prepared with any fruit of your choice. You can let yourself be inspired by the seasonal fruit calendar. If you are someone who likes more exotic fruits, you might like the third recipe with a kiwi chia pudding and our VERIVAL Orange- Acerola granola.

Layered breakfast with apples, yoghurt and spelt granola

The bottom layer is composed of a mix of apple, banana and cinnamon. If you are a cinnamon lover, you can of course take more cinnamon than is stated in the recipe. The second layer of this layered breakfast comprises Greek yoghurt. Instead of Greek yoghurt you can also use the yoghurt mousse which is presented in the next recipe. The third layer consists of our Verival spelt granola. The granola is a mixture of crunchy clusters out of spelt and rice crispies which are baked in sunflower oil.

Layered breakfast with apples, yoghurt and spelt granola

Servings: 2 people

Ingredients

  • 1 Greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 Apple
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Milk or plant-based drink
  • VERIVAL spelt granola

Instructions

  • Slice the apple and the banana into small cubes and cook in a pot together with milk/plant-based drink and cinnamon.
  • Put the warm mass into a glass together with the yoghurt and granola.

The layered breakfast with berries is an absolute classic. The bottom layer consists of a fluffy yoghurt mousse with Greek yoghurt. Instead of Greek yoghurt you can of course also take any other yoghurt of your choice. If you would like to transform this recipe into a dessert, you could replace the yoghurt with a Panna Cotta. The second layer consists of different berries. In this case we used frozen strawberries and blueberries for the berry mousse which we mixed with sliced strawberries. The berry mousse can be served warm or cold according to your choice. The last layer is a berry granola consisting of oats and rice crispies and is refined with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. The berry granola is the perfect crunchy counterpart to the creamy yoghurt mouse.

Layered breakfast with berries, yoghurt and berry granola

Servings: 2 people

Ingredients

  • 200 g Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 200 g whipping cream
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • fresh or frozen berries
  • VERIVAL Berry Granola

Instructions

  • Whisk the whipping cream stiff together with the vanilla sugar. Carefully mix the whippingcream with the Greek yoghurt.
  • Mix the berries with some lemon juice and sugar.
  • Put the yoghurt mixture or just plain yoghurt into the glas. Then add the berry mixture and the Berry Granola.



Layered breakfast with Chia Pudding, Kiwi & Orange- Acerola granola

If you like a little variety in your breakfast, you might like this layered breakfast variation with a base layer out of vanilla Chia pudding. Of course, you can use a variety of sweeteners or even leave the sweeteners out. In this case, we used 2 teaspoons of vanilla sugar. Preparing the Chia Pudding is very easy: You just have to mix the Chia seeds with milk or a plant-based drink of your choice and distribute the mixture into different glasses. Of course, this can be prepared beforehand in the evening so that you just have to add the fruits, in this case the sliced kiwis, to the chia pudding. To round up your breakfast you can add some Verival Orange-Acerola granola consisting of oats and barley, Acerola cherry powder and orange oil  for some extra crunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 250 ml Milk or plant-based drink
  • 2 tsp Vanilla sugar
  • 2 Kiwis
  • VERIVAL Orange-Acerola Granola

Instructions

  • Mix the Chia seeds with milk and vanilla sugar and let it soak over night.
  • Slice the kiwis and add on top of chia pudding.
  • Put some Orange-Acerola Granola on top.
