Sometimes we leave our home already stressed and in a bad mood. We all experience it, because often it simply has to go fast in the mornings. But when preparing your breakfast, you can easily save yourself a little time. Muesli and crunchy with yoghurt or milk are prepared in no time anyway, but our organic porridges are also ready in just 3 minutes!

You should take your time for your breakfast. Eating slowly and chewing thoroughly not only helps our sense of satiety, but also ensures that we can absorb nutrients better and avoid stomach aches and flatulence. Digestion begins with chewing. In order to get even more out of your porridge, you should also pay attention to the right toppings. Seeds, nuts and berries help your body to stay full even longer and provide you with additional vitamins.

Porridge preparation

The quickest way to prepare your porridge is to simply pour hot water, milk or vegetable drink over it and let it swell up or put it in the microwave also with a little liquid. This way you gain 3 minutes in the morning, which you can fill with other activities. Here are a few examples of how you can use the time until breakfast to start the day without stress.

How to prepare porridge

Take time for yourself

Most of the time, as soon as you get up, you start thinking about all the tasks that lie ahead. Instead, you should actually take some time for yourself first.

For example, in three minutes you either can:

  • Brush your teeth
  • Shower
  • Choose an outfit
  • Drink water, tea or coffee or
  • Read a newspaper or a few pages in a book

But many things can also be done on the side, for example you can listen to your favourite songs or a podcast in addition to your morning activities, which additionally enhances your mood.

Get your circulation going

A little exercise in the morning is good. How about a little round of yoga, a few sports exercises or just really stretching out in all directions? This not only puts you in a good mood, but also helps to get your circulation going.

Here are 3 exercises that you can easily do in the morning:

  • Jumping jacks
  • Squats
  • Wall seat

Time for a little meditation and to breathe

Of course, you don’t always have to do something, you can just make yourself comfortable for a few minutes, maybe do a little meditation and just breathe in and out deeply. Breathing exercises, such as the 4-7-8 breathing technique, can help you start the day completely relaxed. Think about what today brings with it and what you wish for the day.

Time for the household

Leaving the apartment in the morning just as you want to find it in the evening – this no longer has to be a dream. In 3 minutes, you can not only air your apartment, but also do one of the following tasks:

  • Empty the dishwasher or wash the dishes
  • Fold your laundry
  • Make your bed
  • Clean small areas, such as washbasins, surfaces, tables
  • Dust
  • Clean up

Our tip: If you put items back to their original place just for a few minutes every day, you hardly ever have to tidy up 😉

Time to prepare your day

3 minutes give you enough time to organize and structure your day. For example, you can think about a shopping list for the day or the rest of the week or write a to-do list. You can also prepare a snack for university or work and pack your bag.

Whatever you decide to do, 3 minutes is enough time to do at least one other thing besides making porridge. This way, you can take a little more time for breakfast 😉

If you do have more time for breakfast at the weekend, you can put it into preparing and refining your porridge or try one of our delicious recipes.
