Good Morning Mountain Talk with 2 Austrian Mountain Rescuers
After talking to Austrian runner Katharina Zipser and an Austrian outdoor blogger BeRoSa GoGreen about their personal experiences in and with the mountains, for our next Good Morning Mountain Talk we met the two courageous mountain rescuers Klaus Manzl and Johann Strasser, who make the mountains a good bit safer day in, day out. Both are part of the selfless mountain rescue team Austria that is ready to give aid 24/7 on 365 days of the year in case of accidents in the Alpine region.

The fatal crash of a colleague.

In company, because it’s safer. Preferably with friends, fellow climbers or family.

Beach holiday in summer because of the heat, hiking trips in autumn.
#9 What’s more important to you, the journey or the mountain peak as your destination?
The journey, because there are many hiking trails without a peak.
