Hermann sent us his recipe for the ultimate good-morning-muesli that fuels us for the day ahead and is an instant mood booster, too! His secret tip? Prepare your muesli the night before ’cause it sure is extra yummy when the soaking can do its magic!

Ingredients (for 2)

100g oat, spelt or ancient grain flakes

2 tbsp light or dark sultanas

4 dates

30g walnuts

1 tbsp sunflower seeds

1 tbsp sesame seeds

0,5l yoghurt

dash of cinnamon

How To

Lightly toast walnuts, sunflower and sesame seeds in a pan until golden brown (you’ll love the scent!).

Add flakes and let them brown for a couple of minutes. Then add 1/8l of water and let cool down. Add cinnamon and yoghurt (I prefer mixing 3,5% regular with vanilla flavoured yoghurt 1:1) and put the mixture in the fridge.

The next morning, add the fruit and add some more yoghurt until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency.

I’ve made this many times and let me tell you: it’s both nutritious and delicious! Satiation lasts up until the afternoon and for some of us, who sometimes don’t have time for lunch, this breakfast is a life saver! Especially if you tend to get hangry, like me.

Now if you want, you could prepare a much bigger batch on, say, Sunday, so you have the perfect breakfast ready to go every day of the week. Double yay!

Have fun and enjoy, you guys!
